The Offspring have Sprung: I am surprised to hear you think I am coughing very badly, Ive been practicing all night

Well its little Zoeys first cold. :( Poor baby. We went to the drs on the 17th, which Ill go over in a minute. But there was a sick little girl there, mind you Ive never once seen a patient in our drs office. Its a solo practice and she sticks to her schedule perfectly. We never wait more then like 5 mins. (Not like my obgyn where If i wait 45 mins its a good day. We use to have to take the 9am app just to get out in time. try getting up and out of the house by 815 while having morning sickness...ick) but this time there was a sick kid there. we had arrived a little early and she had some one before us to go. She only waited a few minutes before she went back but the mother was saying the whole family is sick blah blah blah. then wanted to see the baby. yea right lady. anyway we go in and zoey did fabulous. She is 14 lbs and 24.5 inches! Anyway the next day i start not feeling so hot and the next day is full blown. I had 2 earaches, a runny nose and congestion. ick. I hate congestion. Plus TMI ALERT im ovulating so my nipples hurt, and pumping is less then fun. Anyway come saturday, it snowed and i have no idea why i went to work. I made like $4 and had to get up early and sick to clean the car etc. ick! So I do decide to leave an hour early. Come home and Jim has his best friend and his son over. The kid is 2 and has a runny nose. great. So I take Zoey into bed and nap. The next day I feel super terrible and ask Jim to watch her most of the day, which only partially succeeded. sighs. So Monday comes and Zoey is having trouble breathing and has a runny nose. I feel bad and try to find her some medicine. here they dont have cold medicine for babies. they did away with it in 2007. I guess kids were dying or something from overdoses. so i get her saline nose drops and baby vapor rub and run the humidifier. then it hit. she didnt sleep for 2 nights and just screamed. She had a low fever and this runny nose and not eatting, now last night started the coughing so hard she throws up. Jim was holding her and she just puked everywhere, all over him. the look on his face was priceless. getting cleaned up he said well youve been up for 48 hours taking care of her and ive been puked all over, i guess we're real parents now. :) She did sleep through the night pretty well last night. I barely slept. every time she coughed it made me nervous she would puke and drown. She slept around 10 hours and then ate some formula, (i know im a bad mom, but it takes me 4-6 hours to make one breast milk bottle i dont want her throwing it all up) I called out of work to take care of her today. Shes sleeping right now, right next to me and every time she coughs i have to wipe up her throw up. :( im having my mom come over in a bit to check her out, shes a nurse and has had 5 kids, so i trust her in letting me know if its first cold first time mom nervousness or to call the dr.

I did go to this really super cool store after the drs office, its in marlton and its called dragonflies and lady bugs. Its a really nice upscale consignment shop for childrens clothes, toys and strollers etc. I cant wait to shop there again. I have a love affair with carters clothes, and they are so expensive. I do get them on sale and with coupons but since she outgrows them in 3 months, it gets pricey. But i got a couple brand new with tags carters outfits for like $3. Their clothes are so gently used you have no idea a kid wore them, and most still have the tags on them. Its really great for grandparents houses for gently used toys and play pens etc. I cant wait to go shopping there again!!! Maybe even consign some of her clothes there. It can be our go to the drs office and get a new outfit treat. check out my latest score! This child is not hurting for clothes...now just to pick her easter outfit....considering MIL bought her 3 already...lol...
